Holes 9 and 10 play up and back across an extremely wooded flat area bordered by a very deep, very wooded ravine on the side closest to hole 9, and the OB road to the right of hole 10. Hole 9 forces you to throw long and straight, and the terrain plunges down sharply on the right all along the fairway. The left side shares terrain with hole 10. The first challenge is to make it through the bottleneck of trees that reaches it’s narrowest 75 feet from the tee. After that, discs must weave through just right to clear the many mature oaks and “eucs” spaced evenly throughout the fairway. Just to the right of the basket sitting in a small clearing is the “Land of a Thousand Sticks,” an area dense with thin tree trunks. Drift into that jail and you could be 30 feet away hoping to be able to two-putt.
