Big news DeLaveaga! The Disc Golf Pro Tour has officially announced that the Santa Cruz Masters Cup (Pro) will be a featured stop on the 2026 DGPT Q-Series.

Mark your calendars for May 15 – 17, 2026, as the world's best up-and-coming competitors return to "DeLa" to battle for crucial points. As a designated Q-Series event, the Masters Cup now serves as a direct merit-based pathway to the Pro Tour, helping determine which athletes will earn their official Tour Cards for the 2027 season.

We are thrilled to see our historic tournament play a pivotal role in the future of professional disc golf. Get ready to witness high-stakes competition on the Top of the World!

DeLa’d /dā-ləd/

Definition:
In disc golf slang, to get DeLa’d means to have your disc roll away — often dramatically — after landing, typically on steep or uneven terrain. The term comes from DeLaveaga Disc Golf Course (“DeLa”) in Santa Cruz, where hard grounds, tree roots, exposed rocks and steep slopes regularly turn small misses into long roll-aways and added strokes.

"In Santa Cruz we started playing Frisbee golf at UCSC with object golf, such as fire hydrants and poles. The course ran through the campus and the quarry was the hardest hole. The next course was at Cabrillo. The suburban courses had the undesirable buildings and crowds during classtime.
Tom Schot found DeLa and we would work a job during most of the day and then go clean and build the course after work. It wasn’t until after the course was built (4×4 posts) that it became popular and Tom started World Disc it needed permission from the City."
